Ottawa's own Tangled Roots Brewing Company, the primary sponsor of the Starved Rock Country Brew Fest, had a wide array of beers on tap. Beers included their Hipster Remix, a limited run collaboration with Chicago's Dry Hop Brewers, Forty1-Eighty8, a proudly farm to foam beer, Tangled Roots outdid themselves at this year's fest.
"We're really excited about the Forty1-Eighty8, it's made entirely with agricultural products grown in Starved Rock Country. Our hops farm is just a couple miles South of here, you can't get much more locally sourced than that," Mike Billy, brewer from Tangled Roots, said.
While it wasn't brewed specifically for this fest, the Forty1-Eighty8 is a limited seasonal run, so be sure to swing by the Tangled Roots Taproom next time you're in Ottawa to sample this truly local craft beer.
