You won't find a doughnut on the menu at Blue Eyed Rascal, not yet, at least. Instead, Ogle is focusing on the products that gained her a cult following at the farmers markets and through catering events, that includes her flagship pastry: scones.
Mary Hilderbrand and Arleen Hoffman, both of Streator, are among Blue Eyed Rascal's first regular customers, having come the first two days they were open, they both raved about the scones.
"I'd really recommend people try the scones, it's what she's famous for. Today I bought a blueberry, but there's also a great strawberry-lemon scone," said Arleen Hoffman.
"The coffee is also top notch, I can't recommend that enough. I think it's quickly becoming favorite cup in Streator," added Mary Hilderbrand, a Streator resident.
