Despite an hour respite, where festivities had to briefly stop to let a pop-up rainstorm pass through, the crowd was in incredibly good spirits.
Many out of town visitors planned other activities throughout Starved Rock Country, such as a trip to the Tangled Roots Taproom or a visit to Heritage Harbor's Artisans on the Water market (which returns on June 22, July 20 and August 24).
In line for Cajun food at the Spirit of America truck, Lin Schwartz, a Starved Rock Country resident, recommended out of town guests visit Spring Lake Nature Park next time they're in town.
"I've lived here for almost 20 years, it's so nice to see an event like this come to Streator. It gives us a chance to show off all the other things you can come do in the area," Schwartz said.
