Witches Night Out will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at Pitstick Pavilion, Route 23, North Ottawa. Tickets are required for the main event, but new this year is a vendor market open to the public prior to the evening's festivities.
From 5 to 9 p.m., attendees will be treated to music, dancing, best hat and costume contest, bewitching prizes, cackling contest, photo booth, psychic readings and more. Sorry gents, this is a ladies-only event.
And the event is not just about the fun. Proceeds will benefit NCI Artworks and Pet Project.
"We're really proud to give back to the public by doing an event like this," said co-organizer Laurie Ragan. "We enjoy helping out nonprofit organizations and this is such a fun way to do that."
"And NCI Artworks and Pet Project are close to our hearts," co-organizer Mary Kay Teausant added.
The event will be emcee'd by WCMY 1430's Maggie Frost, with a DJ spinning tunes throughout the evening.
"It's just a fantastic ladies night out," Teausant said.
"And the artisans are fantastic … there's unique arts and crafts, jewelry ... textile art, photography, essential oils, witchy decor and more," Ragan added.
