The Starved Rock Lodge is looking forward to reopening in full once Illinois enters Phase IV, which will allow for socially distant indoor dining!
That means you'll soon have the option of dining in the Starved Rock Lodge's on-site restaurant, widely considered to be one of the best fine dining options in the area! If features a rustic, cabin-like interior, complete with an enormous fireplace, hearth and bay windows overlooking the mighty Illinois river. Tables will be placed six feet apart and all party sizes will adhere to the new state guidelines.
In addition to the reopening of The Lodge Restaurant, the popular watering hole The Backdoor Lounge (located right off of the Veranda, is anticipated to make it's return! Featuring walls lined with canoes, taxidermy and vintage beer ephemera, the tavern perfectly matches that warm nostalgic feeling you get by visiting the Starved rock Lodge.
You'll find a stellar selection of craft beers on tap, along with a selection of locally made wines from August Hill and Illinois River Wineries! Be sure to try their Hippy Punch, a pink lemonade mixed drink that perfectly complements a hot Summer day!
